Our self-catering accommodation has a gas, induction or electric hob which operates in the usual way. Please note that induction hobs may interfere with pacemakers, if you have any concerns or require more information regarding the hob in your accommodation, please contact Guest Services.
If the appliance is not working and does not have power, please make sure that the isolation switch is turned on at the wall above the worktop level, if it is still not working then contact Guest Services.
To switch the zone on, touch the circle key. The zone displays will flash 0 and the hob will beep to confirm the hob is on.
Please note: If a power level is not set within ten seconds, the zone will switch off automatically.

Gas flow to the burners is controlled by the control knobs (5,6,7 & 8). There are 3 positions shown on the control panel.
The burners can be set to the desired position by turning the control knobs through the adjustment range in an anti-clockwise direction.
Turning the control knob to the positions shown below achieves the following:
The ignition device should not be operated for more than 15 seconds. If a burner does not ignite, or turns off accidentally, turn the control knob to the off position and wait for one minute before attempting to re-ignite.
To switch the hob on, touch and hold the "On/off sensor" for the desired zone for approximately two seconds. The hob will beep and the relevant cooking zone indicator will show “0”.
Use the plus or minus setting selectors to set the desired power level. The standard power levels range from 1 (minimum) to 9 (maximum). The hob will then begin heating.
To adjust the power level on a zone at any time during use, press the "On/off sensor" (1) for that zone and use the plus or minus setting selectors to set the desired power level.
Please note: If a power level is not set within approximately ten seconds of switching the hob on, the hob will switch off automatically.
Simply press the "On/off sensor" (1) for that zone and touch the plus and minus setting selectors simultaneously. Alternatively, you can use the minus setting selector (5) to return the power level to 0. The cooking zone indicator will display a "0" to confirm that the zone is now inactive.
When all the zones are at "0", the hob will switch off automatically after approximately ten seconds.
